As it stands in Uganda today the youth have the highest barriers to entry into entrepreneurship of any demographic.
Some of these include high costs of capital, unfavourable credit scoring criteria, inadequate institutional support for startups, lack of entrepreneurial education, and a weak mentorship culture.
As a result, many ideas and startups from the youth fail to succeed let alone start in the first place.
Lupiiya Wallet is creating an ecosystem of fintech solutions that are designed to work together in helping Ugandan youths overcome the unique hurdles in the way of their entrepreneurial dreams and ambitions.
Our ecosystem currently includes a personal/small business accounting app, a Youth Entrepreneurs Index and a youth-adjusted credit scoring algorithm.
We believe that successfully harnessing the synergy of these solutions is the key to unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of Uganda’s youth.
Lupiiya Wallet is a fintech startup dedicated to increasing financial inclusion of the youth in Uganda’s economy.
To this end, we are developing various innovative tech solutions aimed at helping the youth overcome the barriers to access that traditionally exist for young people seeking to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
This is why we are currrently conducting the Youth Credit Outlook survey to understand the experience of the contemporary Ugandan youth in the local loan market. Take it here today!
